I recently went to the Mun and back in Kerbal Space Program. But I didn’t do it Kerbal Style. Well at least not all of it. I used a Saturn V with an Apollo command module and an Apollo LM.
I didn’t use the stock Acapello mission. I instead used a Saturn V + Apollo Mission ship from Steam. I’ll leave a link at the end.
Anyway onto what happened in the mission.
The Launch + Orbit
This Saturn V wasn’t the most manoeuvrable ship. I had a few launch attempts before the real attempt where I just flipped over. It doesn’t help that I’m new to the game, but I have made my own rockets which are more manoeuvrable than this ship. I got into an orbit of around 120 km. I don’t think that’s accurate, even to scale, but I just guessed. 120km seems like a good enough orbital height.
TMI (Trans-Mun-Injection) + Rearranging the LM and CM
The TMI was pretty good. I got a good periapsis height. But, when I tired to rearrange the LM and CM, I failed pretty bad the first few tries. I eventually gave up and de-orbited the CM. But, when I tried to click view on Jebediah Kerman, I accidentally clicked on EVA. So, Jeb was outside the vehicle going 3 km a second inside the atmosphere. He didn’t make it. I tried to load the quicksave, but my last quicksave was before I had de-orbited the CM. But, seeing that I had another chance to rearrange the LM and CM, I tried another technique. Which ended up working, so I continued on my mission.
I am running out of sentence space. Actually, I have reached my sentence limit of this post with this sentence. So, I’m gonna spilt this into two parts.

Also, I do realise I forgot there was a rover in the build. I am going to do it again tomorrow, and try to use the rover this time.
